Refer-A-Friend Program!

Hello Service Knights!

We have an amazing initiative that we're rolling out today where you can earn money back! For each member you refer, you can receive five dollars back! Just make sure when your friend turns in their application, that they state who referred them. There are restrictions to this and they are as follows:

  1. The member must be new to Circle K International
  2. The referring member must be a dues paying member
  3. The referring member must not be in a leadership position (board, district, international)
  4. Applications must be turned in to the Treasurer, Jeff Fellows

Family Assassins

November 11, 2013 Authored by: Baldwin Chang
Assassins has begun! Our annual interfamily competition that spans the campus is now underway and is proudly brought to you by our Membership Recognition Prograns chair, Crystal Torres! Week one of family assassins's safety item is a toothbrush, while the attack item is a clothespin!

What is Assassins?
A game in which you will target members of another Circle K family aiming to “kill” all the members of your opposing team and have members of your team survive.
How can I get a “kill” for my family?
The way to get a “kill” is to have your attack items (designated attack item of the week + bracelet) and with it, tap/tag a member of your opposing team that is not clearly displaying a safety item (not holding a safety item. *Having it in your bag does not count).
What is a safety item?
An item that you must carry at all times outside of safe zone to avoid getting killed. The safety item of the week is released along with the attack item every week.
How do I report my kills?
Message, text, email, call or tell in person to your MRP Chair, Crystal Torres. Her information can be found in the Circle K official website, ucicircle.org. A google document of who has been “killed” and who was the “assassin” will be posted in the Circle K Facebook page.
Other Rules
Only kill people on the list of players and that have their bracelets on.
Remember that this is just a game. Please do not take it too seriously.
Report any problems to your MRP chair at any moment. Do not hesitate to ask questions or share your concerns

Hello Service Knights!

Fall Training Conference (FTC) 2013 ended this weekend, and it was an amazing experience that everyone who went would vouch for!

In advance, I would like to sincerely apologize for the lack of details surrounding Fall Training Conference due to the lack of time surrounding deadlines to FTC in terms of the quarter schedule system.

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

November 5, 2013 Authored by: Baldwin Chang

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF was an amazing event where we, as a club, trick-or-treat for Halloween in support of collecting donations for UNICEF, a partner of Kiwanis International. The day prior to the event, we actually went out and notified the neighborhood that UCI Circle K was going to collect donations!

Before we delve into the specifics... I would like to give our deepest thanks to Mark Ubongen for chairing this wonderful event!

*drum roll*

We raised $228.83 for UNICEF! On an individual level, Brandon Khuu raised $32.98 and King Arthur Family raised $45.58! Mark would also like to announce that Priscilla Lu had the heaviest box!

Most donations raised per member:
1. Brandon Khuu - $32.98
2. Priscilla Lu - $27.70
3. Bernard Hsiao - $18.64

Most donations raised per family:
1. King Arthur Family - $45.58
2. Three Blind Mice Family - $41.86
3. Pinocchio Family - $41.23

Thanks again to everyone who came out!
